Park Ridge police logged 12 arrests between Sept. 14 and Sept. 21, according to the department's weekly arrest summary. Four of the arrests involved felony charges.
The week opened with a multi-charge stop on Granville Avenue. Officers arrested Cody Kamberos, 34, of Lemont at 900 W. Granville Ave. at 12:49 a.m. Sept. 14. Kamberos faces felony possession of a controlled substance, two DUI counts, unlawful possession of cannabis and an improper-turn citation.
Later that day, Denis Medvedev, 51, was arrested at 1271 N. Northwest Hwy. at 11:40 p.m. on a domestic battery charge.
On Sept. 16 at 1:12 a.m., Couri Benz, 39, of Chicago was stopped at 1500 W. Higgins Rd. and charged with DUI, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal transportation of alcohol, unlawful possession of cannabis, a headlight violation, expired registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. That arrest carried the most charges of any in the report.
School-zone speeding arrest
Kristi Brockie, 53, of Mount Prospect was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Sept. 16 at N. Northwest Hwy. and Oakton St. on a charge of aggravated speeding in a school zone.
Touhy Avenue incident
Two people were arrested early Sept. 20 at 223 W. Touhy Ave. in what the report indicates was a single incident. Liliana Arteaga, 28, of Chicago was arrested at 1:11 a.m. on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving too fast for conditions. Thirteen minutes later, London Franklin-Chaturvedi, 29, of Mount Prospect was arrested at the same address on a felony possession of a controlled substance charge. Both arrests share the same case number.
Other arrests in the log
The report also lists traffic-related arrests of Maribel Estrada, 50, of Chicago (suspended license and insurance violations at E. Touhy Ave. and S. Merrill St.) and Anthony Discepolo, 60, of Chicago (seat belt usage violation and suspended license at N. Cumberland Ave. and W. Higgins Rd.), both on Sept. 14. Jhoel Guamangate, 21, of Chicago was stopped at the same N. Cumberland Ave. and W. Higgins Rd. intersection that morning for a child restraint violation and never having been issued a license.
Michael Elatkin, 66, of Des Plaines was arrested Sept. 15 at 650 N. Northwest Hwy. on a battery charge. Stephen Menzynski, 39, of River Grove was arrested on a felony violation of an order of protection; the report lists that arrest as delayed and places the location in Skokie.
Derek Ventresca, 38, of Chicago was arrested Sept. 18 at 1900 S. Cumberland Ave. on a retail theft charge and two counts of warrant issuance. Jeremy Vukovich, 29, of Park Ridge was arrested Sept. 19 on a battery charge at 20 S. Seminary Ave.; that arrest was also logged as delayed.
