Maine Township schedules 17 nonprofit grant pitches Sept. 22

Supreme Court blocks mail-ballot rule for Park Ridge voters
The U.S. Supreme Court blocked new federal mail-ballot requirements from taking effect before the Nov. 3 election, meaning Park Ridge and Niles voters can vote by mail under existing rules. Cook County Clerk Monica Gordon said the 7-2 ruling gives election officials the certainty they need.

St. Paul of the Cross Catholic School in Park Ridge has earned an Apple Distinguished School designation, an invitation-only recognition for schools with strong one-to-one technology programs, while the school also prepares for its Tiger Fun Run fundraiser on Sept. 25 with a $165,000 goal.
