The 3rd Annual Park Ridge Christmas Stroll returns to Uptown Park Ridge on Saturday, Dec. 12, according to the event's organizers.
The organizers' main page lists the stroll running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event listing promises Santa, snowball fights with elf, classic train displays, music, performances and more. The stroll benefits the Kiwanis Club of Park Ridge and Avenues to Independence, according to the listing.
The day starts earlier with the Santa Stroll, a morning 5K run, one-mile stroll and three-block Jingle Jog for kids 8 and under. Organizers describe participants running through the streets in Santa hats while children wear reindeer ears and bells. The Santa Stroll raises funds for Avenues to Independence, a Park Ridge nonprofit.
