Park Ridge families can squeeze in one more afternoon of summer fun before the school year starts at a Back to School Bash on Thursday, Aug. 27, at Prospect Park.
The event runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the park, 733 N. Prospect Ave. It falls on the same day District 64 and Mary, Seat of Wisdom students begin the school year, giving families a chance to mark the milestone together.
Family activities include Toot the Train, a bounce house, games, face painting, and treat bags. Enjoy a delicious dinner from City BBQ and cool treats by Gelato D'Oro!
As a benefit for Park Ridge Friends of the Park, a $25 donation per family is suggested. RSVP to [email protected].
Stroll Park Ridge, the community magazine and events platform based at 132 S. Prospect Ave., is organizing the bash.
The park also hosted a Movies in the Park screening on Aug. 6 and includes the Paula Hassell O'Connor Community Building, which serves as an indoor rain backup for outdoor events.
