Dozens of Carpenter Elementary students have their artwork hanging on the walls of a Park Ridge ice cream shop, turning Triple Scoop'd into a student gallery.

The exhibition features original work by 40 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, according to Park Ridge-Niles District 64. The district announced the show on Oct. 13.

Visitors will find chalk pastel city skylines, creature illustrations, colorful rocket ships and collages of students soaring in hot air balloons. The pieces span a range of techniques and grade levels, with six kindergartners and 15 fifth-graders among the featured artists.

The partnership between Carpenter Elementary and Triple Scoop'd is not new. In December 2023, the shop hosted a similar student art gallery that ran through the end of that month. District 64 thanked art teachers Lee Deines and Shaugn Bianchi by name for coordinating that earlier show, along with the Hanlon family for providing the venue.

For the 2026 gallery, the district credited Carpenter's art teachers for organizing the exhibition and thanked Triple Scoop'd for hosting. The 2023 announcement also noted that other District 64 schools would hold their own art shows throughout the school year. The current announcement did not mention whether additional schools plan shows this year.

The gallery is open to the public during regular shop hours through Wednesday, Oct. 28.
