Maine Township High School District 207's Finance Committee meets Friday, Sept. 18, at 8:30 a.m. to review the district's 2027 health insurance renewal and appoint a township trustee.

The meeting notice, posted Tuesday, Sept. 15, does not detail insurance terms or identify the trustee candidate. Board member Dean Patras chairs the three-member committee, which includes members Foersterling and Hartwig.

The meeting is open to the public.

The committee convenes as District 207 works toward final adoption of its 2026–2027 budget. The board unanimously approved a tentative budget on Aug. 3 projecting $227.5 million in revenues and $223.5 million in expenditures. Assistant Superintendent for Business Mary Kalou told the board the resulting $4 million surplus amounts to about 1.8% of all budgeted expenditures, according to meeting minutes.

The budget is scheduled for final adoption at the board's September meeting. Friday's Finance Committee meeting takes place in the boardroom of the District 207 Administration Center, 1177 S. Dee Road, Park Ridge, and includes time for public comments.
