Diners at Patina Wine Bar & Bistro in Park Ridge can send a portion of their tab to the Friends of the Park Ridge Library on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The one-day Wine, Dine & Donate fundraiser runs from noon to 10 p.m. at the restaurant, located at 112 South Prospect Ave., according to the Park Ridge Public Library's website. Lunch, snacks, dinner and takeout orders all count toward the donation.
The setup is simple. Mention the Friends of the Library when placing an order in person, and a percentage of the total goes back to the group. Online orders qualify too with the code FRIENDS26. The library's site does not specify the exact percentage donated.
"Not everyone has room on their shelves for more books, but everyone has to eat," said Ron Stempkowski, co-president of the Friends of the Park Ridge Library. "Wine, Dine & Donate gives people one more way to support the Library, and we're thankful to Patina for opening their doors to us."
