Park Ridge police made 14 arrests between Aug. 31 and Sept. 7, up from 10 in the Aug. 24–31 log, according to the department's weekly arrest log.

The log's most notable entry: officers apprehended Sergio Gonzalez Pacheco, 29, of Denver, Colorado, on a fugitive-from-justice warrant at 4:05 a.m. Aug. 31 at 7600 W. Touhy Ave. That address falls on the Chicago side of Touhy Avenue, near the Park Ridge border. The log does not explain the jurisdictional circumstances.

On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 11:45 p.m., Abayomi Oguntomi, 51, of Skokie, was stopped at Touhy Avenue and Elmore Street in Park Ridge and charged with driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle.

On Thursday, Sept. 3 at 8:06 p.m., Christopher Niedermeyer, 33, of Downers Grove, was charged with DUI, improper lane change and improper turn signal after a stop at 814 W. Higgins Rd. in Park Ridge.

Two separate battery arrests listed 200 S. Vine Ave. as the location, the address of the Park Ridge Police Department. Brian Syzdek, 49, of Park Ridge, was charged with two counts of battery in a delayed arrest logged at 1 a.m. Sept. 1. Ericka Gamboa, 31, of Des Plaines, was charged with battery in a delayed arrest logged at 8 a.m. Sept. 3. Both entries are marked "delayed" in the log.

A 14-year-old Park Ridge boy was arrested Saturday, Sept. 5 at 9:48 p.m. at 2509 W. Sibley St. on charges of driving without a license, no valid registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Traffic stops accounted for a large share of the week's arrests. On Sept. 1, officers stopped Edgar Aguilar Montesdeoca, 42, of Chicago, at South Cumberland Avenue and Granville Avenue for an electronic device violation, a seat belt violation and driving on a suspended license. About an hour later, Bryan Ruiz, 24, of Lincolnwood, was stopped at South Cumberland Avenue and Devon Avenue on a seat belt violation and suspended license.

Vishwas Dodle, 24, of Chicago, was charged with speeding 35-plus mph over the limit at 8:59 p.m. Sept. 1 at North Dee Road and Mary Jane Lane.

Other arrests in the log include Jennifer Foley, 61, of Park Ridge, charged Sept. 1 with false reporting to a public safety agency at 123 Imperial St., and James Gunther, 64, of Park Ridge, charged Sept. 4 with trespassing at 625 N. Prospect Ave.

Daniel Navar-Quinones, 26, of Maywood, was charged Sept. 3 with retail theft, a retail-theft warrant and resisting a peace officer. The log lists his arrest location as Joliet, outside Park Ridge jurisdiction, without explanation.

One additional entry, an Aug. 29 speeding arrest of Jared Soriano, 27, of Chicago, at South Northwest Highway and South Washington Avenue, appears in the log despite falling outside the stated Aug. 31–Sept. 7 date range.
